I'll be tossing a few bucks towards this myself. This is just the sort of project I've been hoping to see.

It's an awesome idea deserving of support, and if you keep going with it like it seems you want to, I might try my hand at submitting work of my own. Could be fun.

I genuinely appreciate this! Sword and sorcery magazines are all but nonexistent, or at the very least, completely inactive. Mordschlag has the potential to re-chart the genre.

I especially like the idea of a monster column. That sort of literary impurity is something I remember from things like Dragon Magazine and appreciated back then.

As much as I'd love to support this, the new age sword and sorcery zines, and anthologies produced over the past 10 years have been absolute trash. I think out of 20 various ones I bought or read there was a single good story out of the lot.

I was determined to figure out what was going on. Anthologies are often not great, but the ratio of good to bad was particularly notable. I soon learned, after researching for less than an hour, that almost all of them were just buddies all getting together and publishing their slop under titles/projects. It all made sense after that.

Hope your project goes well. I just have 0 faith left with this genre. It's been dead a while and I'm OK with that. There's plenty great older stuff to enjoy!
